The short version: coffee in Bristol works if the vape pen, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a coffee vape pen really costs in Bristol
Coffee prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Bristol that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within £2.69 per 10 ml.
How we tested coffee in a vape pen
- Choose strength against the ceiling in the UK, which is 20 mg/mL for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 2–4 business days.
- Pick the vape pen that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every coffee bottle shipped into Bristol.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a vape pen arrives sealed but wrong.
Where coffee goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why coffee tastes flat after two days.
- Ignoring the batch date on a vape pen and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Treating the advertised £59 entry kit as the real cost when refills run £2.69 per 10 ml.

Frequently asked questions
Why does coffee taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the vape pen units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the coffee blend itself harsh.
Is coffee legal to sell in the UK?
UK rules cap e-liquids at 10 ml and 20 mg/ml, with batch codes on every bottle.
How long does coffee in a vape pen last?
In Bristol we measured 3 to 13 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
