Licorice box mod Flavour in Bristol: the online shortlist
Licorice in Bristol: 14 units tested over 9 weeks, box mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Bristol.
How to tell a good box mod from a repack
We run licorice the same way in Bristol: same box mod, same 9 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Licorice in a box mod is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Bristol the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
The short version: licorice in Bristol works if the box mod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a licorice box mod really costs in Bristol
Licorice box mod reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 14 units and 9 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
How we tested licorice in a box mod
- Pick the box mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in the UK, which is 20 mg/mL for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is 20 mg/mL in the UK, not a suggestion.
- Spare parts availability for box mod in Bristol, since tanks and pods go first.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 2–4 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where licorice goes wrong
- Treating the advertised £37 entry kit as the real cost when refills run £2.57 per 10 ml.
- Mixing licorice with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Chasing a discount on a box mod that then needs an adapter nobody in Bristol stocks.
The rules that apply here
UK rules cap e-liquids at 10 ml and 20 mg/ml, with batch codes on every bottle. Shipping of nicotine to Bristol runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a box mod cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Bristol: about £2.57 per 10 ml liquid plus £37 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Why does licorice taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the box mod units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the licorice blend itself harsh.
How long does licorice in a box mod last?
In Bristol we measured 9 to 14 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
