Pear squonk mod Flavour in Bristol: the flat shortlist
Pear in Bristol: 10 units tested over 3 weeks, squonk mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Bristol.
Coil life, liquid cost and the pear habit
A pear squonk mod from the flat-rate options in Bristol costs about £2.1 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
We run pear the same way in Bristol: same squonk mod, same 3 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
The short version: pear in Bristol works if the squonk mod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a pear squonk mod really costs in Bristol
Pear in a squonk mod is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Bristol the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
How we tested pear in a squonk mod
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 2–4 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in the UK, which is 20 mg/mL for retail here.
- Coil type inside the squonk mod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Spare parts availability for squonk mod in Bristol, since tanks and pods go first.
- Stock depth: 10 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
Where pear goes wrong
- Assuming 20 mg/mL is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Treating the advertised £59 entry kit as the real cost when refills run £2.1 per 10 ml.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why pear tastes flat after two days.
The rules that apply here
Wholesale lines to the UK need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.

Frequently asked questions
How long does pear in a squonk mod last?
In Bristol we measured 3 to 10 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Why does pear taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the squonk mod units we ran, a coil past 4 days turned the pear blend itself harsh.
What nicotine strength should pear start at?
Start at whatever the UK allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a squonk mod.
