Plain sub-ohm kit Flavour in Bristol: the guide shortlist
Plain in Bristol: 23 units tested over 3 weeks, sub-ohm kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Bristol.
How to tell a good sub-ohm kit from a repack
The honest read on plain: 23 units through the same routine over 3 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
Plain in Bristol reaches the shelf in sub-ohm kit formats, and the starter ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
Below is the run we did for this search: 23 units, sub-ohm kit, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a plain sub-ohm kit really costs in Bristol
Plain sounds like one product. It is not: a sub-ohm kit running 20 mg/mL will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
How we tested plain in a sub-ohm kit
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 2–4 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in the UK, which is 20 mg/mL for retail here.
- Pick the sub-ohm kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Coil type inside the sub-ohm kit, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is 20 mg/mL in the UK, not a suggestion.
- Batch code and production date, so a plain bottle turned in 3 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every plain bottle shipped into Bristol.
Where plain goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long plain in Bristol survives.
- Buying the cheapest sub-ohm kit available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Chasing a discount on a sub-ohm kit that then needs an adapter nobody in Bristol stocks.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in the UK sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is 20 mg/mL. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
UK rules cap e-liquids at 10 ml and 20 mg/ml, with batch codes on every bottle.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a sub-ohm kit cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Bristol: about £2.89 per 10 ml liquid plus £35 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Why does plain taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the sub-ohm kit units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the plain blend itself harsh.
