Plum pen device Flavour in Bristol: the guide shortlist
Plum in Bristol: 16 units tested over 7 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for Bristol.
What the label on Plum is allowed to say
A plum pen device from the starter options in Bristol costs about £1.61 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
If you are looking at plum in Bristol, the first question is not strength. It is whether the pen device you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
If you only read one line: the pen device you buy decides how long plum tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a plum pen device really costs in Bristol
Plum prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Bristol that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within £1.61 per 10 ml.
How we tested plum in a pen device
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the pen device that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 2–4 business days.
- Batch code and production date, so a plum bottle turned in 7 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Stock depth: 16 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a pen device arrives sealed but wrong.
Where plum goes wrong
- Assuming 20 mg/mL is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why plum tastes flat after two days.
- Chasing a discount on a pen device that then needs an adapter nobody in Bristol stocks.
The rules that apply here
UK rules cap e-liquids at 10 ml and 20 mg/ml, with batch codes on every bottle.
Wholesale lines to the UK need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
