Salted in Bristol: 23 units tested over 8 weeks, squonk mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Bristol.
How we tested Salted squonk mod here
We run salted the same way in Bristol: same squonk mod, same 8 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
A salted squonk mod from the pre-order options in Bristol costs about £2.48 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
If you only read one line: the squonk mod you buy decides how long salted tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a salted squonk mod really costs in Bristol
A salted squonk mod from the pre-order options in Bristol costs about £2.48 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested salted in a squonk mod
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in the UK, which is 20 mg/mL for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 2–4 business days.
- Coil type inside the squonk mod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 2–4 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Batch code and production date, so a salted bottle turned in 8 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where salted goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a squonk mod and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Bristol accept nicotine freight.
- Mixing salted with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in the UK sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is 20 mg/mL. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Packaging for salted in Bristol must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
