Sour prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Bristol that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within £3.06 per 10 ml.
We run sour the same way in Bristol: same 60 ml bottle, same 5 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Below is the run we did for this search: 18 units, 60 ml bottle, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a sour 60 ml bottle really costs in Bristol
A sour 60 ml bottle from the best options in Bristol costs about £3.06 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested sour in a 60 ml bottle
- Pick the 60 ml bottle that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 2–4 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Stock depth: 18 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every sour bottle shipped into Bristol.
- Batch code and production date, so a sour bottle turned in 5 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Spare parts availability for 60 ml bottle in Bristol, since tanks and pods go first.
Where sour goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a 60 ml bottle that then needs an adapter nobody in Bristol stocks.
- Mixing sour with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Treating the advertised £47 entry kit as the real cost when refills run £3.06 per 10 ml.
