Spiced squonk mod Flavour in Bristol: the best shortlist
Spiced in Bristol: 16 units tested over 9 weeks, squonk mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Bristol.
How to tell a good squonk mod from a repack
The honest read on spiced: 16 units through the same routine over 9 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
We run spiced the same way in Bristol: same squonk mod, same 9 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
The short version: spiced in Bristol works if the squonk mod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a spiced squonk mod really costs in Bristol
Spiced prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Bristol that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within £3.16 per 10 ml.
How we tested spiced in a squonk mod
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the squonk mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 2–4 business days.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Coil type inside the squonk mod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a squonk mod arrives sealed but wrong.
- Stock depth: 16 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where spiced goes wrong
- Treating the advertised £56 entry kit as the real cost when refills run £3.16 per 10 ml.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Bristol accept nicotine freight.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why spiced tastes flat after two days.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in the UK sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is 20 mg/mL. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Packaging for spiced in Bristol must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.

Frequently asked questions
Why does spiced taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the squonk mod units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the spiced blend itself harsh.
Is spiced legal to sell in the UK?
UK rules cap e-liquids at 10 ml and 20 mg/ml, with batch codes on every bottle.
How long does spiced in a squonk mod last?
In Bristol we measured 9 to 16 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
