What the label on Pear is allowed to say
If you are looking at pear in Bristol, the first question is not strength. It is whether the pod kit you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
A pear pod kit from the value options in Bristol costs about £2.3 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
Below is the run we did for this search: 17 units, pod kit, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.

How we tested pear in a pod kit
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 2–4 business days.
- Pick the pod kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Spare parts availability for pod kit in Bristol, since tanks and pods go first.
- Coil type inside the pod kit, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Stock depth: 17 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where pear goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long pear in Bristol survives.
- Mixing pear with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Assuming 20 mg/mL is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.

Frequently asked questions
Why does pear taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the pod kit units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the pear blend itself harsh.
What nicotine strength should pear start at?
Start at whatever the UK allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a pod kit.
How much does a pod kit cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Bristol: about £2.3 per 10 ml liquid plus £28 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
